Movies return to Vicksburg

Wilcox Theaters is in the process of renovating the old Pemberton Square Theater with intentions of opening a four-screen theater in November. That’s the good news. The bad news is this: the prior theater on that site closed due to a number of factors, one of which was the presence of the rowdy crowds that gathered there, producing an unsafe atomosphere that most people preferred to avoid. Can the new theater avoid such? Time will tell.

  1. They should enforce a dress code and no loitering rules with a heavy security presence

  2. parents should be held acountable for there children if the people want more things to do they should control there offspring I hate to go to Jackson to see a movie when there is a perfectly good space here.

  3. I agree have rules stick to them, beef up security andc parents be responsible..

  4. Security is something that cbl needs to work on if any new investments need to stay in the mall.

  5. One lady in a letter to the editor indicated the noise level was so high that she and her child could not hear the movie soundtrack, and that theater security did nothing to stop it. Is our new movie house any better than the old one?
