  1. Thanks for posting this link. Everyone should click on it and listen to it. I agree with every point Dem. Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Ohio made in this speech on the floor of the House offering constructive criticism of this appallingly bad bailout plan sent to the Hill by the doofus Bush. American taxpayers do not want to buy “ownership” of $700 billions of dollars of toxic worthless PAPER assets comprised of subprime mortgages and other devious derivatives Wall St. created and now wants to dump in order to “clean up” their books and start afresh. She is right in calling for an independent commission to investigate serious crimes Wall St. movers and shakers committed in perpetrating these frauds in recent years. Heads should roll and many of these fat cats ought to be sent to jail. I agree some sort of greatly reworked and improved compromise and bipartisan plan is needed right now before Congress adjourns next week, but hopefully not a package that will be a bill of goods rewarding wrongdoers on Wall St. and indebting taxpayers for generations to come.
