Consider the source of your post from Dr. John Tisdale and remember that through the centuries going back to Protestant Reformers like Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox, John Wesley, etc., they have called Roman Catholic popes the “Antichrist”. And, many popes have called their enemies the “Antichrist”. I remember back when John F. Kennedy was running for president, he and the pope were called the “Antichrist” by some religious nut-cases. (No, I am not Catholic but fair is fair to me.)
Note also that the Book Of Revelation was completed at the end of the second century and the religion of Islam was not founded until about 400 years later. Nowhere in the Bible is the word “Islam” or “Muslim” to be found. (No, I am not a Muslim either, and truth be told, I have little respect for that religion particularly as practiced by its dangerous extremists.)
The Gospel of Matthew advises us to watch out for false prophets, and I do, and I also watch out for false fear-mongering posts like this one. Obama may well be “false” but to call him the Anti-Christ is just dangerous rabble-rousing.

Jon Pen, The Book of Revelation was completed near the end of the first century Anno Domini not the second by St. John the Beloved Apostle and author of the gospel which bears his name and three epistles as well.
We ought to treat the subject of who is the Antichrist with a certain degree of discernment for the concept of Antichrist is more than just the latter day indwelt minion of Satan. It is also a spiritual condition.
St. John in his first epistle (I St. John 2: 18) penned the following: “Little children, it is the last time and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” The beloved disciple of our Lord warned of many antichrists prior to coming of the man of sin. He was given of the Holy Spirit to pen that remark largely because human beings have a the tendency to look through the jaded lense of secular history, which views all things continuing as before, from generation to generation (see Ecclesiastes 1: 9-11; II St. Peter 3: 1-7).
Yes, there have been many antichrists in the past as well as those who are alive today. And the test for such is found in I St. John 2: 22, 23; 4: 3 and involves a denial of Jesus Christ having come in the flesh. That might not sound like much of a test, but consider in the affirmative what a Christian believes: that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, Prince of Israel, the only begotten Son of the one, true and living God, and the only way to salvation in God. Therefore the inverse or denial of such negates the very word of God, making God out to be a liar. That is the spirit of antichrist. And that is what makes the adjective “many” into an enormous figure because the concept is not only a person but a spiritual condition which envelops the unregenerate masses making them into subjects of Satan’s kingdom (see I St. John 4:3; St. John 8: 44; St. Matthew 13: 36-43).
In Daniel (7: 7-11, 19-26) and in Revelation (13: 1-8) the Antichrist is referred to as a beast or the beast, which is not only a person but a kingdom. The specific personage of the Antichrist in Daniel 7 is the little horn who shall uproot three other rulers which had been part of the kingdom prior to his arrival. He will have eyes like a man, which indicates his humanity and he will have the capacity to speak persuasively so as to influence the masses of unregenerate mankind to follow after him.
He will receive a mortal wound to his head and will be miraculously healed and this will inspire people to worship the dragon (Satan) who gave him his power (see Revelation 13: 3, 4).
St. Paul tells us in II Thessalonians 2: 4 that he will be worshiped as God, seated in God’s temple claiming to be God. Now there is no temple of God any longer. That was destroyed by the Roman legions under Titus in 70 A.D. So an authentic sign and wonder would be the rebuilding of that temple on its original site, which is on Mt. Moriah inside the city of Jerusalem.
Daniel refers to the Antichrist as being a member of the people (a prince) that shall destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary (the temple) (see Daniel 9:26).
Daniel 9: 27 speaks of this prince of the Romans making a covenant with many for one week which is code for seven years. He will also be a covenant-breaker because he will violate his agreement and desecrate the sanctuary (see St. Matthew 24: 15).
The Antichrist by the very nature of his name is opposed to Godhead and in particular the second person of the Holy Trinity. He will come to bring about the final rebellion of God’s creation. Examine Genesis 11: 1-6 which is the account of the Tower of Babel. In verse 6 God said “Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do.” This verse hearkens back to Genesis 6: 5 wherein it was written, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” The devil is nowhere mentioned in Genesis, but he was nevertheless present throughout from the temptation of Eve, to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, to the abominable acts at Sodom and Gomorrah, etc. One need only utilize the biblical record as a lense through which we might examine the history of mankind. For in so doing, one will see the hand of evil manipulating the lives of mortals to carry out his sordid purposes.
The Antichrist as indwelt by Satan will be his finest work of deception and wickedness (see II Thessalonians 2: 9, 10; St. Matthew 24: 24).
He will have a kingdom which will exercise a great deal of influence throughout the world for the last seven years of human history apart from God (see Revelation 13: 5; Daniel 7: 23-25)
He will eventually gain control over the economies of the world, preventing those who will not take his mark from engaging in open commerce and will have the power to put to death all who will not take his mark or worship him (Revelation 13: 17, 18).
He will make war on the saints of God and prevail against them (see Daniel 7: 21; Revelation 13: 7).
He will seek to change times and laws (see Daniel 7: 25). That can have a variety of meanings but one thing is clear, the Antichrist will have all the power necessary to alter the very thinking of unregenerate mankind so that all will conform to his will. The Radical Jacobins of the French Revolution sought to restructure the French calendar to remove God from the picture. This is likely what the Antichrist will do as well.
He will bring upon the world of unregenerate mankind such plagues and devastations which will be on a scale as has not been seen before nor ever will be seen again (see St. Matthew 24: 21, 22; Revelation 6: 1-17; 8: 6-13; 9: 1-21; 11: 13; 16: 1-21).
If a candidate, or really anyone fits this description then as JP said “If the shoe fits… “

The apocalyptic language in the Book of Revelation is full of some of the strangest metaphors and symbols I have ever read, but the word Antichrist and a figure called the Antichrist never occurs in it.
Any malcontent or those drinking interesting Kool-Aid with their ‘Eat Me” Brownies can cherry-pick through Scripture and pull any line out of context to fit any agenda from defending slavery to polygamy to whatever. Some of them would say Obama bears the mark of Cain and is the Antichrist as well.

While the name “Antichrist” does not appear in the Book of Revelation, nevertheless we know that the use of the term “the beast” as described in Revelation 11, 13 and 19 is an accurate description of him. The person of the Antichrist is also known by several other names as well: “that man of sin”, “the son of perdition” and “that Wicked” (II Thessalonians 2: 3, 8).
As to the particular identity of the Antichrist in our world, I can only offer this caveat: we should be cautious in our use of such a religiously-charged term. The ever crying of “wolf” does not help any cause or purpose. Nevertheless, St. John tells us that there is now in the world a “spirit of antichrist” making it possible for a person to be an “antichrist” without being “the Antichrist.”
In Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, one will find listed under the term “Antichrist” the New Testament references for him. Many reference Bibles will have marginal notes which will lead one to those passages in the Old Testament regarding this subject. Careful handling of the Word is an important duty of every regenerate person. Be a Berean in all things (Acts 17: 11).

What I’d like someone to comment on, please, is this Dr. Tisdale’s comments about Muslims. In my understanding of the Bible, the words are divinely inspired and penned by men not written by the hand of God (as Islam believes the Koran was) so how can the writer have predicted the “anti-christ” would have a Muslim background when Islam and the Mohammad would not exist for a couple centuries? No man would have had any concept of Islam/Muslims.
Also, why so much Muslim hating? Beside the fact that Jesus is a major, vastly important figure in Islam, most Muslims are exactly like most Christians i.e. hard working people who want to raise their families in peace. Islam/Christianity equally deal with the unfortunate fanatics that blow up buildings in New York and Oklahoma City.

I really don’t mean to sound combative, I really want to understand how “conservative” Christians can “proudly support McCain…He admitted cheating on his wife after she waited FAITHFULLY for him for 5 years while he was in a POW camp. While he was a POW, she was in an automobile accident that left her disabled. Later (while still married) he met his current wife (in Hawaii) and when he applied for a marriage license his divorce was one day short of being final. After years of being married to her, he “claims” he was unaware or noticed his wife’s addiction to narcotics when she was stealing from the very charitable organization that she was heading up. AND yes, they admitted to it, only AFTER they realized she was being investigated by the feds.
To me Obama embodies in his political career what the Lord Jesus Christ taught in Matthew 25:34-40. Obamal in his political life has fought for the poor, underprivileged and less fortunate. Issues such as health care, affordable housing, renewable energy, lower taxes and lowering gas prices have always been a part of his agenda and not just because he is running for President. These are the issues that effect ALL Americans, regardless of your race, religion, creed or color. We should all remember that we should vote for the person that can best lead our country through these difficult times and issues.
We are NOT voting for the fundamental high priest of America. Character, integrity, discernment, attitude, judgement and temperament should all be considered along with the issues when choosing between Obama and McCain. If and when this done, anyone would conclude that McCain fails miserably. I have worked with MANY individuals who did not share in totality my beliefs as a Christian however, they were of great character, values and integrity and could be counted on to do what is right. Having said that, I have not seen or heard anything on Obama that would make me question his integrity, character or values. It should really bother all Americans and especially Christians that because we have an educated young black man with good character, integrity, values and who speaks well and his given his life in service to the underprivileged…that there are idiots saying that he must be the anti-Christ. Billie, I’m an independent voter – neither Republican nor Democrat. And I think Bush’s presidency is the most disasterous since Abraham Lincoln’s. Yes, I voted for him, but only because I considered him the lesser of two evils. But McCain has denounced the Republican record under Bush, and he and Palin promise the type of change we need – to eliminate corruption, cut out wasteful spending, return government to its constitutional role – to serve the people – etc., even if they have to go after members of their own party. I have sat in church after church across this great country over the past thirty years and heard many of preacher damn America. And after experiencing the Bush administration over the past eight years, I agree that any woman in this country could do a better job….including Sarah Palin. Obama has been against the war from the beginning. However, once it was apparent that the US was sending troops to Iraq Obama was addamant in supporting, then General Eric Shinseki, who disagreed with Bush, Rumsfeld and McCain on the original “surge” of troops that they were sending into Iraq. General Shinseki and Obama felt that the U.S should send in many more troops to deal with the situation. Bush, Rumsfeld and McCain disagreed with General Shinseki and Obama. Of course, we now all know that General Shinseki and Obama were correct and that Bush, Rumsfeld and McCain finally saw what Obama had seen all along …that more troops were needed and they eventually sent the additional “surge” which was proven effective. It is amazing that Obama could recognize this from the start and McCain, with all his so called experience, totally got it wrong. Just another reason why Obama is much more qualified to be our next President.

Is it possible that some of these people didn’t bother to vote because “they were too busy then and hadn’t decided yet”? I feel an obligation to honesty and truth to share with you some facts. My Father and Mother instilled in me the values and morals of treating people fairly and always being honest. If you purchase something, you pay for it. If you borrow something, you give it back.
I have been “stiffed” three times in my 30 year professional career by someone who I rendered services to, gave a finished product to, but who refused to pay for those services even though they acknowledged the services and products were correct, were what they asked for, and were never challenged for not being correct. I am lucky in having only three, but those three hurt badly.
Joe Biden was one of those people. I worked on his 1988 Presidential campaign financial disclosure engagement. I busted it for him and got everything right. He stiffed me for over $15,000 worth of work. He refused to pay once he dropped out of the race. I did similar Capitol Hill campaign financial disclosure work for Bob Dole, Pat Buchanan, and a Democratic candidate for Ambassador to New Zealand. All of those folks paid even though they lost the election or did not get the appointment. That type of work is very demanding and very tedious because your efforts are scrutinized by Congress. Biden did not care.
I am on the Board of Directors of a company that owns a majority position in a private jet management company in Northern Virginia. They manage jets for businesses and rich folks. They also charter planes to the public. This past winter Fred Thompson chartered over $250,000 worth of air time. He paid every penny.
Joe Biden, in his latest unsuccessful run for President, chartered over $150,000 worth of air time. He PAID ZERO. He continues to refuse to pay stating his race is over and he is out of money. He never once complained about his flights. Joe Biden is a rich man. He could pay.

What should concern you is the impact Obamas foreign policy will have on all of us.
Everything else pales when compared to our National Security. Obama wants to go back to the Clinton/Carter mentality of giving in, reducing the military and appeasement. It is that approach that led us to 9/11 and the war on terror.

1st: I have never read anything in Revelations that states “the beast” would be allowed to have authority for 42 months. But let’s say it does say this, does that mean that every president who has or will hold office for a four-year term is the anti-Christ? Or, just Barack Obama?
2nd: I have also never read anywhere in the Bible that the anti-Christ would be of Muslim descent. The Anti-Christ is symbolic of every belief, thought, spirit, and action that denies the deity, reign and authority of God. Read the book of 1John to understand this, but I will list a few scriptures from it for your understanding now:

So, this email is false doctrine, written by someone who obviously has not read the Bible concerning the Antichrist, because indeed the Antichrist is already in the earth and has been since the time of Jesus. It is not any one person, it is the rejection of Jesus as the Messiah, and his divine authority. It is not only in the world, but in the church as well, many leaders have claimed to be Christians but hate others, they have spoken out against Barack Obama for no other reason than the fact that he is black, when in fact the word of God teaches in Galatians 3:27-29 “27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” And also God says if you do not love your brother which you can see, you cannot possibly love Him, whom you cannot see. This hatred and false doctrine is the very spirit of the Anti-Christ.
3rd: This is NOT A Christian Nation. It was established under Christian doctrine, in fact all of our laws our based upon the foundation of biblical principles. But, tell me how can it be legalized for homosexuals to wed if this is a Christian Nation? Tell me how it can be legal and accepted for people to practice any religion they choose, including the Satanic Church and other such denominations if this is a Christian Nation? Tell me how it would be legal for business executives to make decisions that place the country in an economic crisis, yet walk away with million dollar severance packages, worry free, leaving those who have invested and the tax payers to bear the weight of those decisions if this is a Christian Nation? NO, this is not a Christian Nation, because Christian means to be Christ-Like, and in order for this Nation to be a Christian Nation, the entire nation would be have to be Christ Like. However, this is a nation of many religions, many beliefs and doctrines, many cultures, many people, truly a nation of many countries and communities thriving together to achieve what I believe is one goal, and that is success, individual successes that permeate our families, our friends, neighbors, communities, states, and the country as a whole. That is what makes us unique as a country. We have a government that has in place legislation to ensure that the Separation of Church & State is maintained in all aspects of government, both on the state and federal level, we are definitely Not a Christian Nation. But thank God we happen to be a country whose citizens are predominantly Christian.
Finally, Barack Hussein Obama, is first a man. It so happens that his father is African, so he naturally has more pigment then some others. It is not comfortable for many to see him in the light of President, since for so long African-Americans have been considered Less Than Equal, even Less Than Equal was a position our ancestors fought for, because before becoming Less Than Equal, we were fighting to be recognized as Human Beings, by a country and government who determined that African Americans or Blacks or Coloreds, were only 3/4 human, something to be bought and sold and bred like cattle; the pride of our men stripped from them as they were made to remain in the place of a “boy”, and the virtue of our women ravaged, as they were made to nurse the children of historic white America, turn over their treasure upon the breach of adolescence to white men, who then ripped the children they fathered from their arms to pass them through the system of trade; a people who were only useful for building up this country on their backs but not have access to any of its wealth. A people who were legally kept from education and resources to better themselves. A people who were torn from their families and never allowed to establish a foundation of faith and wealth and impart that to our children; the results of which still remain today.
Do I believe that Barack Hussein Obama is a perfect man? No. I do not. But I certainly do not believe he is the Anti-Christ. His name alone has meaning, His first Name: Barack, is Swahili for Blessing or Blessing from God. His middle name, which was given after his grandfather, means “Handsome”. As far as his last name, it is a common surname of the Luo tribe, one of the 3 major tribes of Kenya. I tell you it would not matter if his name were John Alexander Smith, the fact remains that he is a black man; and for some, that is enough to be declared a terrorist, that is enough to be declared incapable, that is enough to be defined as inexperienced, that is enough to be considered unequal, and that is enough to be falsely accused of being the Antichrist; when truly, it is under the spirit of the Antichrist that the very email referenced was written.

I have very strong feelings against these type of propaganda. To me it isn’t Christian at all. It stems from my being Catholic. Thirty years ago I had Baptist friends that tried to convince me that the Anti Christ was going to be the Pope. They were so certain. These comments were disturbing and cruel. So now the finger is pointed at Obama. I feel sorry for the guy because I know what this feels like. The Bible reads that we will not know the time, place or who. So where does our faith fit into this? Fear is an evil thing and to me, Christians are spreading it around the internet like its no big deal. It is a big deal and its wrong. If Obama is the Anti Christ, then we should all be rejoicing because the end is near. So what is this all about other than a modern day witch hunt? This type of propaganda gives power to the sick minds that are wanting good people to promote their evilness into assassinating this guy. So here Is my message to everyone that has passed an email along or spoke about Obama as the Anti Christ. You are in a small way responsible, for his death if it should happen, you have helped give power to an evil of hate. This election should be more about the issues and polices that are important, and affect the vast majority of Americans regardless of their religion, race, creed or color. Issues like the economy, health care, the energy crisis, the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan the record high employment, corporate greed & corruption, education, transparency, government accountability, etc. etc., etc. These are the kinds of issues that need to be investigated thoroughly and not determined by a pastor, Fox News sound bites, Bill O’Reillys monologues, or Rush Limbaugh’s tirades.

The problem with American politics is that most US citizens will allow themselves to be polarized by the parties and will turn what should be a detailed discussion on the plethora of issues into single, usually irrelevant. Inconsequential debates on meaningless garbage like lipstick, lapels, middles names or which one is the ant-Christ…Christians are especially susceptible to this.
Early on in the Bush Presidency, I decided that I would do all that I could to prevent such a disaster from happening again. I would no longer allow this most important decision to turn into a Christian American Idol contest or a matter of simply choosing what I thought was the Christian “lesser of two evils” scenario. High sight being twenty-twenty, we can all see clearly now devastating to this country such shallow thinking can be.

Billie, Christian values are Christian because we hold those things which the Bible teaches as truth, for they are God’s word to us. We are supposed to order our lives around them, not them around our lives.
While no party has the proverbial “lock” on representing these values, the national platforms for both parties can give an indication about where they stand (as well as their actions while in power) regarding Christian values.
These are just a few of the values which many Christians hold:
1. The sanctity of life: abortion is the systematic murder of the unborn.
2. The institution of marriage: God ordained that marriage is between a man and woman.
3. Private property rights: This encompasses a number of issues from owning and carrying arms for self-defense to taxes and land use matters.
4. Free speech matters: particularly in being able to proclaim the gospel whether it is a Christmas display or the right of ministers to freely communicate to their congregations concerning the sufficiency of a candidate or slate of candidates for public office.
5. Social concerns: The Bible is clear, he that would not work should not eat. Justice ought to be meeted out impartially. Those who murder willfully should be executed. Churches and families must care for their own.
If you can match a party up with these or visa versa, then I suppose that would answer your point.
Rev. Dabney, a Bible believing Christian should obtain their “family values” through the Word of God as the Holy Spirit speaks to them or convicts them of various matters. Which again emphasizes my point that “Christian family values” is a personal matter between an individual and his or her God, faith and beliefs. Billie, where did I ever say I was a Republican? I simply gave you the particulars of a proper biblical understanding of issues which happens to include some of what might be in the GOP’s platform (though I must confess I have not read it).
The Bible should be the rule and guide of a Christian’s faith and practice. It is not a book that is open to private interpretation. It speaks very well on its own if people will read and heed it.
I agree with you, we are not voting for an American high priest. But I do believe we ought to elect a man or a woman who possesses a high moral character and a set of values with which a voter could identify. That’s fair.

May I remind you that it was John McCain who admitted cheating on his wife after she waited FAITHFULLY for him for 5 years while he was in a POW camp. While he was a POW, she was in an automobile accident that left her disfigured. Later (while still married) he met his current wife (in Hawaii) and when he applied for a marriage license his divorce was one day short of being final. After years of being married to her, he “claims” he was unaware or noticed his wife’s addiction to narcotics when she was stealing from the very charity organization that she was heading up. AND yes, they admiited to it, only AFTER they realized she was being investigated by the feds. Need I mention the fact that his family owns a beer distribution company… from which they have made hundreds of millions of dollars and no doubt have destroyed millions of lives and families?

Does it matter if a person is a Christian if he is running for President? (This is not an Obama/McCain issue, just a general question). If you believe a person is of sound character, intelligent, qualified, morally sound, fair-minded, etc. but does not have a personal belief in Christianity does this disqualify that person? Obviously I don’t mean legally as there is no requirement regarding a persons spiritual views. Historically there are many examples of Presidents who were not “Christian” in the modern sense

I get that you don’t care for the guy’s politics– really. I don’t care for the politics of John McCain. I do not, however, therefore equate John McCain with being responsible for the end of the world. What happened to espousing a moderate, well-informed worldview based on facts? This rush to embrace extreme viewpoints is hurting us as a nation. How can we be pro-life and pro-capital punishment? Both are MURDER.
How can we want laws that keep women from having abortions, but oppose laws that force fair hiring practices for women and people of color?
How can we oppose gay marriages and cover up sex-abuse scandals which destroyed the lives of innocent children? (sorry my Catholic friends)…
Republicans are counting on us to be the hypocrites we are come election time and vote on the externally moral issues, ignoring the issues that Jesus spoke of when he said, “inasmuch as you have done unto the least of these, you have done it unto me”. When we ignore issues like healthcare (for those children we so passionately defend from abortion), job security, the environment and the housing crisis, how do we think Jesus feels about our treatment of the least of these?

As for him being the friend of terrorists, let’s not forget that Reagan/Bush created Sadaam Hussein AND Osama Bin Laden. We were their friends when they were enemies of our enemies. Over the years, our friendship with these American made terrorists have deteriorated. Well, if you must know, here is the way I REALLY feel about Barack Hussein:
I am astounded at the many Americans who continue to support the presidential candidacy of Barack Hussein Obama, a US Senator who, in his very brief career, has accomplished absolutely nothing of note. Normally, voters try to select for president someone who has integrity, character, knowledge, and high morals, someone with the experience necessary to lead the most powerful country in the world, someone they can trust. Obama has demonstrated none of these traits. His position on important issues shifts with political expediency.
One can judge a person by his associates. In Obama’s case this includes 1) Terrorist Bill Ayers and other Chicago “machine” politicians, 2) Anti-American, anti-white “preacher,” “Rev.” Wright, 3) Crooked real estate mogul and convicted felon Tony “the Fixer” Rezko, who “fixed” a deal to get a house for Obama at a bargain price, 4) Madeleine Talbot, leader of the ACORN group, a radical left-wing group now under investigation by the FBI for voter fraud, 5) Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Dodd, and Harry Reid, left-wing Democrat senators whose lack of oversight is primarily responsible for the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, 6) Franklin Raines, Tim Howard, and Jim Johnson, all Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac officials who cooked the books, destroyed the companies, and left with millions of dollars in unearned compensation and “golden parachutes,” 7) Radical leftists George Soros and David Geffen, and 8)Radicals such as Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan.
Of the character traits mentioned above, trust is one of the most important. In Obama’s case, can you trust a man who 1) Served with an avowed anti-American terrorist on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago, an organization whose aims include “expanding (the) welfare state, allocating ever-increasing amounts of money to the public school system, and the redistribution of wealth via taxes,” 2) Is the choice for president of Hamas, Islamofascists, Muammar al-Kaddafi, and many terrorist groups, 3) Claimed he sat in “Rev.” Wright’s church for 20 years and never heard Wright spout anti-American or anti-white comments, 4) As a “community organizer,” trained activists for the left-wing organization ACORN, which is responsible in part for the current financial crisis, 5) Disavows any responsibility for the financial crisis, but, along with fellow left-wing Democrats, voted against bills designed to reform Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, all the while raking in huge amounts of their lobbyists’ cash, 6) Refuses to abide by the law and reveal the sources of his campaign contributions, some of which are definitely from illegal foreign sources, and 7) Hired as financial advisors the very people who looted and destroyed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – Franklin Raines, Ted Howard, and Jim Johnson.
There are other questions about Obama’s suitability to be our president: 1) He supports a grotesque “infanticide” law. In 2001, as a state legislator in Illinois, he opposed a bill to protect live born children, 2) He has vowed to eliminate our nuclear weapons research, perhaps leaving us vulnerable to the growing might of Russia and China, 3) His wife, Michelle, says she’s obligated to put blacks before whites. Will he listen to her? 4) He described the Muslim call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset,” 5) He was born and raised his early years a Muslim; questions remain regarding his religion. He made the statement “John McCain has not questioned my Muslim faith.” Was that a slip of the tongue? 6) He advocates universal health care, a plan that could in time place our health care system alongside those of third-world countries, 7) He has backed driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, and 8) He opposes gun rights. The NRA rated him an “F” on gun positions and says he is one of the most dangerous anti-gun politicians in the nation.
How have we come to the point that a greenhorn like Obama stands a good chance of becoming our president?
First, the politicians and business elites have gained almost total control over the media, who are now their servants and work unremittingly to mold public opinion in whatever direction serves their masters’ best interests. They have done everything they can to avoid asking key questions of Obama. Second, young voters — including our own children and grandchildren — are today being indoctrinated by biased liberal “educators” who distort the truth about terrorism, the financial and energy crises, our constitution and our laws, our religions, Barack Obama, and the very history of these United States.
Although you may not consider John McCain and Sarah Palin to be the most suitable people to lead our nation, there can be no doubt of their patriotism and love of this country. So, before you step into the voting booth and vote for Obama, ask yourself one question:

How about McCain’s friend Charles Keating, the economic terrorist whose shady dealings cost 21,000 investors more than 280 million in their life savings in one of the worst economic crises in American history…that happened as a result of the very deregulation that McCain championed until it became politically unpopular to do so?
Or McCain’s friend, the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, who said that the terrorist attacks were a result of God’s wrath on a nation tolerant of “pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the A.C.L.U., People for the American Way”?
Or his association with Rev. John Hagee, who said in 2006, “I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are—were recipients of the judgment of God for that.”, and “It was the disobedience and rebellion of the Jews, God’s chosen people, to their covenantal responsibility to serve only the one true God, Jehovah, that gave rise to the opposition and persecution that they experienced beginning in Canaan and continuing to this very day… Their own rebellion had birthed the seed of antisemitism that would arise and bring destruction to them for centuries to come…. it rises from the judgment of God upon his rebellious chosen people.”, and ” the Roman Catholic Church “plunged the world into the Dark Ages,” allowed for the Crusaders to rape and murder with impunity”.
Or what about his association, or shall I say, close friendship, with lobbyist and former fundraiser Vicki Iseman, with whom McCain’s own advisers have admitted concerns about extramarital romance; on whose behalf McCain often wrote letters when her clients often had business before the Senate committee McCain led. Of course, his aides and staffers worked hard to cover this up because it would threaten the story of redemption and rectitude that has defined his political identity (even more than his adulterous affair with his current wife that led to him requesting divorce from his disabled first wife).
If I’m to judge McCain’s character by his associations, then I must conclude that he is a financially irresponsible, anticatholic and anti-semitic adulterer who believes that God hates gays, Jews, Muslims, Blacks, the ACLU, and anyone else living in sin and points to the last few major world disasters to prove it. If I were to reach that conclusion about John McCain based upon his associations you would call me an idiot.
So do yourself a favor and write this in your next post: “I’m an idiot.” Because you still fail to give reasonable defense with nothing more than the rhetoric your party has fed to you.

To All My Friends, this is very important, please take the time to read it. This election has me very worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking “where did the money come from for Obama”.
I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans. I started looking into Obama’s life. Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. “Barry” (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a “round the world” trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate’s family, then off to Africa to visit his father’s family. My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had
money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It’s not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition?
Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.
By “chance” he met Antoin “Tony” Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named “Entrepreneur of the Decade “by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association”. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what?
They represented “Rezar” which is Rezko’s firm. Rezko was one of Obama’s first
major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David
Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with “seed money”
for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans – Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss. She is now Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy? On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was “sacked” after the press found out he was having regular contacts with “Hamas”, which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will “Take care of things”.
Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those “small” Internet campaign contribution for Obama.
Where is that money coming from?

I have heard various views on the person of the Anti-Christ. This is the first time I heard the Anti-Christ will be in his forties from Muslim Descent. In the sixties some thought the Antichrist was John F. Kennedy. I have heard others state that Ronald Reagan was the Anti-Christ. Former Pope John Paul was viewed by some as the Anti-Christ. I really doubt the Anti-Christ is the Democratic Presidential Nominee. The book of Revelation should be viewed in light of the great metanarrative of redemption, honoring Christ as the King. We need to spend time seeking Christ instead of trying to find the Anti-Christ.
Secondly, the scripture is being taken out of context. This is a “reading into” the scripture. We can take any scripture and twist it to state diatribes like the one mentioned. Don’t be surprised if someone finds a scripture to state McCain is the Anti-Christ.

Our forefathers did not fight “and die for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation.” Our forefathers most explicitly fought and died for our right to practice religion, as individuals, as we see fit. Redneck Woman, my guess is that you are a born US citizen, right? Well, I’m not. When I came to the US in 1959, I had to go through a lot of red tape, I also had to learn English and divulge my entire medical history to become an American citizen. I’ve worked nearly 40 years of my life in the good ‘ol USA and paid my US taxes along the way. I’ve also supported many charity projects in the US since I made my citizenship. I’ve had to prove my worthiness to be a US citizen nearly 50 years. The person who will be our next President will represent me and many other like me who came to the US and made their citizenship. With all that said, do you realize that I cannot run for the office of the Presidency, even if I wanted to, because I was not a born US citizen. My point is, do your research before you vote to make sure you know who you’re really voting for. I’m writing in my vote for President this year!

This is the saddest website and comments that I’ve read anywhere on the web. The hatred that is spewing from the “Christians” towards people who express another view and towards Obama is pathetic. Nothing that I read here is based upon the teachings of Christ. As a white born again Christian for over 50 years I am worried about the fate of the Christian church in the US if this is what is being taught in some of the churches. If you don’t want to vote for someone that’s OK just base it on facts and not propaganda. If they would take all the money spent on negative campaigns, and put that exact same amount into programs that would actually be of benefit to people, then I’d vote for the person. As it is, I cannot stand another four years of any Republican administration.
Oil prices are high, so gas is high. Since gas is high, therefore the cost of goods has gone higher, because truckers are having a hard time. Teachers are having a hard time. Retirement incomes have disintegrated.
The only ones getting rich and living comfortable lives are oilmen.
Some people assume that all people believe alike. I don’t believe like non-Indians. They came over here, for “religious freedom” yet did not allow the Native peoples of this continent to have our own religions. And they still are after what is rightfully ours. Sarah Palin has been trying to get Indian hunting and fishing rights revoked in Alaska. She’s dangerous.
People will grasp at straws to get someone elected. We already know that Bush “bought” the Florida electors in previous elections.

OK, so I’m pretty sure that everyone in the Christian society believes
the Antichrist will rule as a president. But in fact there is no way
for us to be sure. This email had one fact in it that I found to be
wrong and I just felt that I should share what I have found. The Bible
tells us in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your
children.” So I ask you all to please share this with your fellow
Christians.
This email states that the Bible tells of the Antichrist being of
Muslim descent. That is not true The Bible does contain clues as to
where the Antichrist will come from though. In Daniel 9:26-27 we see
that the Antichrist will be of Roman descent.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not
for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation’s are decreed. And he
shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of
the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and
for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even
until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the
desolate.
The prince who is to come in Daniel is the Antichrist. The prince of
verse 26 is the same person in verse 27. “The people of the prince”
are the Romans for they destroyed the city of Jerusalem and its
magnificent Temple in AD 70. This means that the Antichrist will be
Roman descent.
By no means am I telling anyone to vote for Obama or am I saying what
he is doing is right. He will change our nation and he will lead us in
a very wrong direction. He is very anti christian and goes against
everything our nation stood for once. If he gets into office it may
very well be laying ground for the Antichrist but I do not believe he
is in fact the Antichrist. And I also believe God has a plan and his
plan will not be stopped and we should not be afraid. Isaiah 41:10 “So
do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.”
Obama is very anti christian and may very well be laying ground work for the Antichrist, but he is not it. Obama goes against everything our nation stood for once.

Nikki, agreed. There will be many antichrists, but the Antichrist is someone yet to be revealed though likely alive at this moment. We all need to be in prayer for our country today and really every day until the Lord comes again.
