Ban trans fats?

California has become the first state to ban “trans fats” from restaurant food. Trans fat is the common name for a type of unsaturated fat with trans-isomer fatty acid(s). Should Mississippi, the “fattest” state in the union, follow suit?

  1. Trans fats are just a little part of the problem. Education is the key – and we are a poorly educated state. Anyway, if those guys at the thin red line post are right, the fat problem will be solved – we are all gonna starve!!!!

  2. We aren’t fat. We’re “big boned.” Isn’t that how your mother discribed you too?

  3. Well if California was first I guess we only have to wait for 48 other states to ban it before we get around to it.
