Ask your county supervisor…

Okay, same scenario as with the mayor and aldermen… You are sitting in a chair across the desk from a member of the Warren County Board of Supervisors, and he has just asked ”What’s on your mind, today, Mr. Citizen? What have I done right? What have I done wrong? What would you do if you were sitting here in my seat?” Now, it’s your turn. How would you respond? Would you ask about the budget? Taxes? The $580,000+ the supervisors “give” to charities? The condition of our Mississippi River bridge? The status of lawsuits brought against the county? Or something else? Since the supervisors read Vicksburg Speaks, now is your opportunity. Use a pen name if you like.

  1. I understand from people who live on Freetown Road that Henry Lake Road, the last road which connects Warren County to I-20 and also connects Freedtown Road to the Industrial Park at Flowers, was approved for paving about 5 years ago. I wouid like to ask the County Supervisors when the paving will be done. For the last 3 months, we have watched a grader work the road, widen it and put more grvel on parts of it, but nothing towards paving has been seen. Henry Lake Road is a highly traveled road because of the connection routes mentioned above. People are back and forth to and from work, to and from vicksburg and to and from Jackson. It needs to be paved. What is the hold up?
